Thanks for using Innominet!
IMPORTANT: Tor takes a while (a few minutes) to start up for the very first time. Please be patient during this bootstrapping process. It would be a great opportunity to read through the Quick Start instructions, shown below, and accessible at any time from the Help Menu.

QUICK START:

To run an application, simply click on the application row then click the launch button. Specific instructions are shown below for each program.

FIREFOX:

Will load to web page to tell you whether you are currently using the Tor network or not. When "Anonymous" is toggled and green, traffic should be going through the Tor network. If it says that you are NOT using the Tor network, try restarting (not all nodes are recognized by the web service). To stop using the Tor network, just click on the green "Anonymous" button."""

PIDGIN:

Requires that you set up an account on some service before you can chat with other users. This distribution of Pidgin includes the OTR (Off The Record) messaging plugin, allowing users to communicate in complete secrecy with other users of the same plugin. It can also be used to connect to IRC networks."""

uTORRENT:

A popular BitTorrent client. Try using the included ubuntu.torrent file to test (and download a copy of the Ubunto live cd). Note that the program is currently capped at 200KPBS download speed in order to prevent any significant effects on the Tor network."""

THUNDERBIRD:

Email support coming soon. We have to fix some Thunderbird security leaks first."
